Went in there yesterday with my younger brother, it’s welcoming. I had no idea Burien even had a tea shop, apparently it’s been there over a year. I met Brett and he made us a sample of lapsang souchong. It was good and he indulged me with lots of answers to my questions, they make samples for you and sell loose leaf for a good price. I’ll be going there more as I make the transition from bags to loose leaf.

My friend and I had a phenomenal experience here. Virginia and Chris spent a long time with us talking about the qualities of various teas and letting us smell and taste a few. You can tell they’re passionate about tea; they’re both friendly and approachable, and they enjoyed the tea tastings as much as we did. Though I don’t know a lot about loose leaf tea, I felt comfortable asking them “newbie” questions, and they answered in great detail and very patiently. When our visit ran late, they even assisted us after official store hours. I’m so glad we decided to stop by—it ended up being one of the best tea experiences I’ve ever had. Also, we loved the little clay tea pets.
