Teekontor Nordfriesland Edit

I found this merchant in 1996, when I was trying out all northwest (german) stores I could reach. (I am German). Different than all others, the owner actually flies to India and purchases the lots himself from the plantations. And back home, he makes his own blends. You will know the difference immediately (if you know only the corporation blends usually sold in stores, which are bought from wholesalers).

Now I am living in the USA, and I have no more physical access to them. No problem though, they ship overseas, and the postage is the regular price (very expensive, but they only charge what they pay themselves)

I have not found a decent tea store here in the US (in 7 years!), so I am glad I can still have their wonderful blends. They have chinese teas as well, also Rooibos, Honeybush, herbal infusions, aromatic (flavoured) teas, green teas etc.

But their specialty (OF COURSE!) are the locally traditional Friesenblends. Herr Biel makes them himself, as I mentioned before. Always fresh, always outstanding! (I sound like an affiliate, but I am not!)

I have no idea whether they have anybody speaking english there, so if you want to call on the phone, be aware that these are German people speaking German and probably Danish (as they are practically sitting on Denmark’s border). If you send an email, it might be easier for them to have it translated from English.
