I suppose it’s unfair to rate a store where you haven’t tried the tea, but it seemed a small collection – nicely displayed, but in clear glass containers. Light is still a no-no when it comes to tea storage, right? : )

The sales clerk recommended going to a smaller sample wall on the left to smell the options, but it didn’t look like all the teas were there. If so, the selection is smaller than I thought. Very relaxed atmosphere, but unfortunately I was looking for a bit of guidance, especially upon entering a tea store I’ve never been in before.

I was looking for a good apple cinnamon tea and got excited when it seemed to be the tea of the day, but in reality they were steeping chai tea in apple cider. Seemed like cheating to me. I didn’t buy anything and I don’t know that I’ll be back without hearing a recommendation.

The best tea shop in Nova Scotia, and likely the best Canadian tea shop east of Quebec.

I’ve only been here once and didn’t try the tea so it’s hard to comment on that aspect of the shop. I was disappointed with the display teas as they didn’t have a bit of scent remaining. They’re in little glass containers and seem old and stale. This made me reluctant to purchase any tea here. I’ll likely give this place a second try sometime soon to see if anything has changed.

This place is great! I love that it’s locally owned and operated! They have a great selection of wonderful teas at affordable prices as well as tea accessories. Everything is organic and fair trade. Great atmosphere! The owner is very knowledgeable and hosts some great tea classes for those willing to learn more about all things tea! My only gripe is that I don’t live closer!

This is my favourite tea place in the city. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, but the staff are very knowledgeable should you need guidance. The selection has a lot of variety but is not overwhelming. It also has some of the cheapest prices if you are just looking for a single drink. I was also impressed by the commitment shown to Organic/Sustainable/Fair Trade practices.

Here is an up and coming for sure….a new store is on the way in beautiful Halifax and I look fwd to stopping by for some teas. Presently, one can purchase teas at a variety of locations (depending where the owners have advertised i.e. fairs etc.) The primary location is at the Dartmouth Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. The teas are fresh, and the variety remains somewhat small but I know that the owners are really hooked on tea and spent, to give it their all when it comes to customer svc. If these qualities of customer svc, quality teas, and crazy, just plain loving anything about tea is provided and offered to the customer in July 10 then Halifax has one more tea house that will most certainly offer tea lovers a run for their money!
