Primarily a coffeeshop, but also serves tea, wine, beer, and soft drinks. Has Red Espresso brand rooibos specialty drinks. Pastries and cheesecake from local bakeries. Occasional live music. Meeting room seats about 8. Free wi-fi.
This is absolutely the best place to get a hot drink downtown. One of the only, in fact. I love the student-friendly atmosphere and rotating artwork by local artists. Also a great place to pick up various indie newspapers and learn about upcoming art/music/theatre events.
Updating to a 4 since it’s still a favorite, years later, if just for the Redespresso drinks. Too bad they no longer have a private meeting room. But they do have a patio out back, and their house sweet tea, with honey and lime is SO refreshing!
