One of my favourite places to go to when I visit the Byward Market is Tea Store.

The few times I’ve been there, the staff have been lovely. They don’t seem to understand tastes though. I asked for something fruity and got recommended something quite bitter and earthy. Their prices are decent, and are much in line with tea stores in the region. I prefer the cozy atmosphere to anywhere else I’ve bought loose leaf tea. Tea quality is very high. I will return when I’m back in the area.

love the laid-back atmosphere of this place. very home-grown. decent selection. the staff aren’t always incredibly friendly but sometimes i get lucky and fall into wonderful conversation with them.

Avant l’ouverture de CHA YI dans le vieux-Hull, j’allais quelque fois acheter mon thé dans cette boutique mais je restais toujours sur ma faim par rapport à ce que j’ai lu sur le thé et que je recherchais. L’endroit est convivial et simple, mais bruyant et les employés sont évidemment loin d’être passionnés et vraiment connaissants. Les thés aux fruits et tisanes sont corrects mais sans plus, on oublie là les bons thés frais de haute qualité. Ordinaire.
