Natural Fragrance & Herbal Cosmetics
Wholesale & Retail
That sells teas!

I began frequenting this store earlier this year. I stumbled into the store after a visit to the hair-dresser. It is a most unique store; in that it sells mainly cosmetics, incense, scarves and the like; and it boasts a great tea wall. Their name brand is Hemani and some of the teas include: Earl Grey Green Tea, Lavender Tea, Rose Tea, Slim Tea, Senna Herbal Tea, and Hemani Green Tea just to name a few.

Price range for their teas runs about $3.00 for a box of 20 tea bags.

This is a fromagerie shop nestled in Concord’s main square that is deceptively large and diverse in its offerings: Fresh, and baked (daily) bread (Polish Rye bread, baguettes, Seven Grains, and Italian loaves), candies, jams, crackers, wines and prepared foods; as well as a great selection of teas.

On my visit there they were promoting Tea Forte’s teas; and had a table set up for sampling their teas. Their tea shelves contained many varieties of tins or packaged teas: Ahmad, Tetley, Tea Forte, Harney and Sons, Twinning teas Stevens and Smith Teamakers and PG tips teas just to name a few.

It is an incredible place and on most busy days one can note people waiting in queue to have a sandwich made or prepared food. It is a cheese shop that sells teas as well as other local goodies.

I would like to visit them, yet, again and again.

Year two visit to The Concord Cheese Shop

I spent the day in Concord, MA and I visited this Cheese Shop once again, as I am their friends on Facebook and I bother them repeatedly about ordering from their posted menus but I cannot get there for the orders. It is a wish list of ordering; I think this annoys them somehow. So I dared show my mug shot in their store. The store was very busy with folks with tickets ordering sandwiches, cheese, wines etc. I walked past all of this to view their teas and I found that they had several newly teas and this time they were not having tea sampling as they did last year with (Tea Forte tea display with samplings of their teas); they did have new boxes of tea for Tea Forte. I remember reading article at the beginning of this year that Tea Forte had been sold; so the new packaging that I noticed might be part of this deal. Don’t quote me on this.

I saw some Rooibos Teas that I considered purchasing but the husband thought that I had too many teas at home; so I did not buy anything. Dum! I did take photos of the tea shelves, some not very good photos since I was nervous being there. I like the folks at Concord Cheese Shop; they seem real and genuine.

An authentic Tearoom & shop carries over 100 teas; offering tea drinks, desserts, glutten free vegan, vegetarian light fare. Teas can be purchased in bulk or customized. They also have packaged teas like Phoenix Oolong, Black Dragon Wulong, and Ti Kuan Yin just to name a few. I liked viewing their tea walls. I did not purchase any teas. I was only able to buy a small pin sporting their store logo and this is pinned on my bookbag. (www.dobrateame.com)

Nellie’s is all about tea and everything related. Established in late 2003. Their mission is to offer the highest quality teas at a good value, and to educate their customers about the wonderful world of tea, and promote the culture and civility associated with having tea. (from website: http://www.nelliestea.com/about.html)

What I specifically like was seeing all of the books that she had by author Laura Childs, tea mystery book author. In all the shop looked very cozy. I did get to sample a small cup of green tea, a Sencha possibly. I remember saying to her that it was vegetal in taste and smooth at the same time.

2nd visit a review of
Gourmet Boutique

This is a lovely store that carries the finest teas and chocolates made from all over the world. I visited this store last year after having attended an employment fair, as I left the hotel and venturing into the plaza area I found this store and decided to peruse it. I was so excited to see all the teas that it carried; excited because many of the teas they carried I had been viewing online.

They carry many of Tea Forté Teas; Mighty Leaf Teas, Harney and Sons Teas, Octavia Teas, The Republic of Tea and many others. I purchased a fruity Green Tea sold in counts of 50 tea bags. Earlier last year I tried one of the Pomegranate teas and it was very nice; liquor was fruity and sweet and the flavors lasted through several infusions.

I was able to take some pictures this time since last time I did not have my camera or camera-phone with me. Eventually, the Sales Associate did say she could not allow more photos. She was friendly enough and did suggest that I purchase their Tea Ching by The Republic of Tea. So I have ordered the book as well, but it is not yet here.

I visited this store by accident, it is a lovely store and seems to have many fine things: Caviar, Chocolates and many fabulous teas.

There is a giant display for Tea Forte seeming to be a promotion of sort perhaps. The shop also carries Numi Teas as gift packs/gift sets.

Carrying the likes of Mighty Leaf teas, Octavia teas, Ineeka teas, Kusmi (Detox) teas, Mariebelle teas, and Teaosophy teas just to name a few.

It would seem the store’s philosophy is to share their discoveries with the customers. Providing a gourmet journey through its meticulous selections of specialty foods and table wares. Inviting customers to browse its collection and the finest of products ranging from Foie Gras, rare teas and Chocolates.

It is a small store carrying all things British that one could find delight in consumption.

The store provides British goods offering English Tea, English Food, Cadburys Chocolate, PG Tips, Twinings Teas, LifeBoat Teas, Tetley Tea, Typhoo, Yorkshire, Ahmad Tea, Barry’s tea and gifts like teapots and tea kettles.

A small store with a medley for assorting British goods to U.S. based customers.

I stopped by The Tea Gathering for a brief moment and I was happy to see how spotless the shop was and rearranged somewhat making it look a bit bigger. I noticed several new items like tea trays depicting a rooster; and they have a larger selection of honey made from a nearby farm in Methuen, MA. Store had several photos by Goethe artist of Victorian women in the gardens or at leisure, I think they are for sale as well.

The owner Fran seemed rested and less fatigued than when I visited last year in 2011. Overall she seems to have found her final niche; a lasting peaceful effect perhaps. I cannot know the life of this person, surely better than mine. In all the teashop owner seemed restful/youthful and her store seemed bigger and carrying more. Happy times to the folks at the Tea Gathering!

The cafe is a newly refurbished historical building. Its interior is complete with natural wood, exposed stained beams with an old fashioned brick fireplace.

It is made to be warm and cozy so that folks will want to remain longer during visits.

Offering bagels, brownies, cupcakes, quiche and scones. Serving both hot drinks and iced drinks; their teas are The Mighty Leaf brand.

I tried a cup of their Organic Mint Melange in one of those pyramid pouch; not traditional tea bag; so flavor was very strong on first tasting; after more than several sips it improved. I would opt to try a different flavor and stay away from the mint teas for now.

They do serve sandwiches and wraps; salads, and plenty of breakfast items with Paninis and burritos.

The bookstore offers author visits with book signing. I missed one because of another engagement. A different time perhaps.

I like to drink tea less so than when I was aptly reviewing teas. I find that I like less and less of things as I age. I am a somber spirit who prays daily to not be at all. Thank you Steepster for all that you do to enrich tea drinkers.
