I recall someone previously saying this tea was like crack cocaine? A worrying thought that crack fiends might have entered the tea industry and started putting more unwanted additives in tea along with the pesticides and whatnot. What a combination, that along with our now poisonous water supplies in the US!!! Regardless, I’m happy to say I have no idea what crack is like and this tea is pretty good nonetheless. Not nearly as good as the blend I make myself, though!

Standard fare sencha. Not quite sure why I purchased this particular sencha because the name ‘overture’ implied to me that it would set the mood. Regrettably, it has not done so. However, I managed to do a swap with a co-worker for some kickass oolong. Waste not, want not.

Had this tea sent out to me a few times now. I feel this one tasted better a few months back then it does now, but still rocks because Mr. Nishi-San made it!

I’ve had some mediocre teas recently (my bad!), I think this one tops it off. It really does not do justice to the great oolongs that come out of Taiwan.

The roast on this one is quite apparent, yet doesn’t interfere with the teas character all that much. Comes off as a rather mild and nice sencha with too little leaf. Increasing the leaf really makes this tea dominate, though. Pleasant enough.

Bog standard green tea here. Not much in the way of aroma, kind of sweet, but more astringency than what i’m use to. I often blend this up with matcha which lifts the flavor out of the doldrums a bit.
