Art Of Tea Teams Up With Tree People – Buy a Tea, Help Plant a Tree!

Los Angeles, CA (January 27, 2010) – Art of Tea is proud to announce their collaboration with Tree People, a local environmental nonprofit organization that unites the power of trees, people and technology to grow a sustainable future for Los Angeles. For every Green Pear tea tin purchased in 2010, Art of Tea will donate a portion of the proceeds to Tree People with the goal of planting 100 trees locally by year’s end.

From the onset, Art of Tea has molded their business to emphasize fair trade, organic and kosher standards in support of sustainable living overseas. They have also made it their focus to put forth those same efforts in their own backyard by standing as an example in sustainable business practices. Now Art of Tea is bringing that commitment to the next level by teaming up with Tree People.

The primary focus of the Tree People organization is to educate and inspire people to take personal responsibility for their urban environment and stand as role models in sustainable living for the rest of the world. One of the many challenges for sprawling urban cities such as Los Angeles is keeping the balance between technological growth and the preservation of natural resources. Tree People is bridging that gap by planting trees in areas of the city where urban sprawl has taken precedence over nature. This is a very exciting venture for Art of Tea as it perfectly aligns with their vision and commitment to promote sustainability and growth right at home in their local community.
