Teaware storage bags?

So, I realize this is a very silly problem, but I’ve just moved into my new condo, and my bedroom and “finished” TV room are both upstairs (my downstairs living room, on the same floor with my kitchen that has all my tea gear, is bereft of any furniture right now). My health is such that going up and down the stairs is a little difficult for me and I have to use the bannister. Going up is much easier for me than down (I can get up without the bannister and use two hands to haul things, but this is impossible for me on descent). This has made lugging my tea stuff upstairs — especially when I’m concerned about safety (let’s be real here, mostly for the breakable teaware!) — a concern.

I know I can just fill a thermos with tea, but sometimes you just want a pot of tea to leisurely sip on, and getting a whole teapot plus a cup up the stairs and, even more challenging for me, back down has been a nightmare, unless I make several trips, and at that point thinking of the hassle has made me just avoid making the tea. Does anyone know of any decent storage solution that I could pack up the teaware in to move it from floor to floor easily? I’ve been looking but they are always for tiny little gong fu sets, and I want something a little more versatile that I could also use for a larger English style teapot as well. I also would rather not have to invest specifically in a travel teaset and just have a carrier I could use with my existing tea stuff, so I could pick and choose the teaware I want for the particular occassion. Anyone have any brilliant ideas, or am I thermos bound in my own home?

I wonder if you might be able to DIY a teaware storage bag by re-purposing a small padded tote. They sell ones for camera equipment and baby gear with adjustable dividers and cushioning. Something like this seems like it should be able to accommodate at least a teapot and a couple of teacups:

When closed, looks similar to the ones they sell for gongfu sets:

Oh, that might work really well since the dividers can come out to accomodate a bigger teapot on those days where you just need a liter of tea, heh. Ya, I was looking at the gong fu ones but they only seemed to work for my little tiny gaiwans/pots/cups and not my larger pots/mugs. I really appreciate the idea as I don’t think I’d ever think of this!
