This comes as no surprise, ever since Starbucks bought it the store has been fast sinking. The success of Starbucks is that you can order both the dry good and the beverage, Teavana only offers the dry good. If you are an overpriced beverage store, you have to sell that beverage in-store, especially in a mall location. I am not sure another brand taking its place will have much profit, but Mahalo partnering with Amazon is definitely a good idea.

What a pity, Teavana was my favorite part of the mall! Will be missed dearly.

Is Mahalo only on amazon?

They have a website like Teavana (https://www.mahalotea.com). I buy from their website because the prices are cheaper plus they have discount codes. I think they are based out of Hawaii/West Coast and use Amazon to do 2 day delivery.

I see. Thanks!!!

I would really be interested to see a Mahalo or David’s Tea in the Southeast. Teavana may have started here but I think they had issues selling people on the emporium-styled set-up. I’ve also heard that their associates were really pushy so that’s a little sad.

I went in to my local Teavana today expecting to see a lot on sale but not so much. I did find a couple of things on sale and one item I think was a new item, a tea tumbler I hadn’t seen them selling before. I imagine they are waiting until after Christmas to put everything on sale.

To my knowledge Mahalo Tea has no presence in New York while Davids Tea has a few stores. In my understanding Teavana usually had a no compete clause in their lease and David’s Tea couldn’t open stores. Now thhis will not be a problem. I have never tried Mahalo Tea but every once and a while I do go to the nearest David’s Tea, about a thirty mile drive or so.
