A nice, funky little independent cafe that offers coffee, tea, sandwiches, light lunches, and pastries.
I was particularly impressed by the variety of loose-leaf tea on hand, as well as the various types of bagged tea and tea accessories they had, including a beautiful series of cast-iron teapots, some teacups, and even some white pu’erh cakes on their shelves. They even had packages of Sloane tea and Steven Smith tea for very cheap – a tin of Sloane tea was there for $10, even though they cost more than twice that much elsewhere.
Lovely atmosphere, a nice variety of tea (I had the fig apple black tea, which I quite enjoyed), good sandwiches, and friendly staff. Considering this is in the middle of Durham region, far from downtown Toronto, this place is a real find.
