Light and floral with a slight cabernet finish. Smells amazing. Tastes better iced.

I’m new to tea tasting, so this rating may be because I’m inexperienced. I like the subtle flavor of the tea, a little buttery, but I don’t taste the apricot or anything else. I might have brewed it wrong. :/

This tea is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma! (With apologies to Churchill and the Soviets – but it’s true.)

In the tin: smells like bacon – and very strongly, too. The Boy even said so unprompted.
In the cup: smells like a forest fire.
In the mouth: it is like drinking a spirit or concept of tea – like a dream about tea. My taste buds were grasping for the flavor as it slid down my throat. What is it? What am I tasting? The more I try to taste it the more ethereal it becomes. Trying to analyze this tea is like trying to grab sand.

So it’s all Elizabeth Taylor in the tin & cup but all Greta Garbo when you drink it. Naturally, you want to keep on drinking it…

BTW, my very first taste of this was not as a brewed tea but pulverized and mixed, with some nice sea salt, into a good butter which was then spread on a baguette. Incredible. The salt really enhanced the smoky flavor and it was gobbled up in a flash. I’m looking forward to more culinary experimentation with this one.

This is a really well balanced blend. It has a soft, bright herbal flavor that is clean and fresh without falling into the traps of being astringent or boring. The flavors blend well together: not too much mint, lemon, or lavender. (The lavender’s almost imperceptible.) You can actually taste the chamomile as much as any of the others.

It is a nice evening standby and I anticipate drinking quite a bit of this in the summer as it is quite refreshing and soothing. Well, done TTL!

Steeping instructions all over the place! Label says thirty seconds at 208F. Wikipedia says twenty to thirty at 175F. Various purveyors recommend three minutes (!) at 160-180F.

First try: 6 gr at 175F for 45 seconds…
light, nutty flavor with kind of umami and faintly creamy taste.

Next try: 8 gr at 160F for 1:00: same flavor but more of it. Still seems a bit hollow though. Will try more time and possibly a splash of milk…

OK, got it! 8gr at 160F for two minutes. Super rich and roasty toasty nutty almost like coffee. I added a splash of milk and it tasted like a light, ethereal, summery cup of coffee. Love it. Can’t wait to wake up to this in the summer.

The rooibos and coconut provide a nice canvas from which the lavender asserts itself. Lavender is definitely the star of the show here. The tea is soft and gentle with a decidedly perfumed taste. Not overpowering but definitely not for anyone who dislikes lavender. Not into drinking perfume? This would make excellent drawer sachets.

Recommended steeping time of 4-5 min is too long and results in a bitter, tannic flavor that obscures the subtle flavors of this tea. Will try again with a shorter steep time. Smells wonderful in the tin and in the cup – very pretty tea, too.

The soft, fruity, mildly sweet interplay between the licorice root and orange peel is shattered by the bite of ginger. Every sip starts out soft and comforting and ends like swallowing a mouthful of pins. The tumeric makes it stain something awful.

Just right – and yet so hard to describe!

This tea uses its indoor voice. It has the soft, delicate flavor that a quality silver needle should. The flavor is strong enough to stand on its own yet not over-done for a white tea. It makes a great cup by itself and serves as a wonderful foundation for blending.

It’s easy to get and not terribly expensive – give it a try!

Boring. Tried first as recommended then with more leaves but still just tastes like hot water. Bland white tea with no hint of floral flavors let alone whatever that “Cabernet Flavoring” is supposed to do. A nice cup of plain silver needle would be much more satisfying and interesting.

Fantastic real chocolate flavor – deep, rich, earthy, and very grown-up. The pu-erh and cacao play together wonderfully. It just begs for a little splash of milk or cream. This blend stands head and shoulders above the candy-sweet chocolate chip blends that seem so common. This is the real deal.

The peppermint in this tea is really strong. It’s a very smooth tea, and being herbal doesn’t have any caffeine. It’s a good night time tea. :)

I’m a fan of this tea in the morning. It smells amazing and is very fruity.
