Good chai! Nothing quite mesmerizing, but it was good. Unfortunately, Teh Bar doesn’t make it anymore.

My summer iced tea this year, and I´m beginning to see the bottom of the packet, so I most likely will need to pick another tea I have in stock for future iced tea.
I like particularly that I can leave the tea in the pot for hours without it turning the iced tea bitter, so I can have the tea steeping overnight, put it in the fridge in the morning and have a batch ready for lunch.

After returning home from the swimming pool, I craved for a cold drink, and had this tea iced in the fridge…very refreshing, nice taste of green tea without it being too grassy, or wooden…I immediately put another pot to cool down.

In the past I experimented a lot in order to get a tasteful ice tea without having to add sugar to the final result. In general, I tend to prefer black teas aromatized with pieces of real fruit, but I cannot get this type of teas everywhere, and the aromatized black teas (with sirops) I prefer to avoid. Maybe I´m too much of a black tea fan to fully appreciate ice teas based on green tea, but the last couple of years, that seems to have changed. Last year´s green tea with banana was a success and this year´s Tibetan Secret is not bad at all either. Very refreshing, and light, I could drink it all day.

Bought as “Secreto tibetano” by internet from Tea shop “El rincón de los aromas” in Alcalá de Henares (near Madrid, Spain). In Summer I replace the water we drink with meals by home made ice tea, and this year I´m using this tea.

Flavors: Floral, Green

Preparation

This is one of my favorites as it’s not overly chocolaty or minty but the perfect balance of both. I tend to take it at night because it’s caffeine-free but still makes me feel refreshed before calling it a day. Plus the chocolate gives me that sweet fix without the calories!

drank London Fog Latte by Teh Bar

Nice tea from Téh bar, tried the Latte version. Slightly sweet, not syrupy, good earl grey (bergamot) flavor. Wonder if they use syrup to flavor it, but if they do it’s not too strong. A good cuppa.

Actually their London Fog is made with 2 simple ingredients, a perfectly steeped Earl Grey Supreme and warm frothy milk. For those who want a sweeter version, they can also add an vanilla or almond syrup (high quality and not fake tasting).

This is a very nice Oolong tea. The toffee/caramel flavour is a little more subtle than I’d prefer, but it blends very nicely with the earthiness of the oolong.
