I have experimented brewing this tea with my gaiwan, but I didn’t get any really nice flavours. I have using different steeping times, but the tea didn’t get the nice honey flavours that a shou mei gets. Perhaps brewing this tea western style is better suited.

I used a gaiwan to brew the tea. The tea did not have clear flavours in the different steeps. It tastes slightly like green tea, and did not have a chocolaty taste at all.

I used a gaiwan to brew this tea. I started steeping it 10 sec with boiling water, which resulted in the tea having a strong, fruity and slightly bitter taste. The second steep, 15 sec and +/- 95C, was less bitter.
