Sipdown! Not sure what happened last time (tastebuds off?), but I’m definitely getting delicious black currant in this cup. Not really any creaminess, just the rich fruitiness. That said, it is kind of weak, which I’m sure is age-related. Overall a good pick for a true-to-flavour fruity tea though. Pretty enjoyable.

Weird… loved this the first time I had it, but the second time? Couldn’t even taste any black currant. Still have another cup’s worth left, so I’ll have to see what went wrong… (there’s a small chance I confused it with Boston, which I brewed up at the same time, but I swear the tea I described in that tasting note had no black currant flavour whatsoever, and it was quite prominent in this tea, in my recollection).

Thanks to Azzrian for sending some of this my way. It’s pretty tasty – I couldn’t really taste the black currant until it cooled, but now it’s obvious and quite flavourful! This is really quite good! I don’t think I’ve ever tasted quite this much black currant flavour in a tea previously, and it’s downright scrumptious.

This has a lovely smell true to black currant. I very much agree with that it is somewhat wine like as TeaEqualsBliss stated! I can also see it being excellent iced as LiberTEAS stated! Can’t wait to try it that way too!
I would not mind having this in my stash as a fixture! :)

The pouchong base is a nice change from the typical green tea base. Don’t get me wrong, I love a jasmine green… but, it’s nice to have something just a little different now and again.

The jasmine is light but not lacking – if that makes sense. It is not so strong that the jasmine tastes sharp, soapy or overly floral, but, it isn’t so light that it isn’t distinguishable. The pouchong tastes smooth and has a nice mouthfeel. No grassy flavor, just a smooth rich taste.

Yeah… ummm… this one… not so much.

As a hot tea, this has too much hibiscus in it and it is really too tart for me. I then tried it iced. As it cools it’s a little bit better… but not a lot better.

I can taste the hibiscus – it’s tart. I can taste the fruit flavors of orange and lemon, they are sweet but a lot of that is masked by the tart of the hibiscus (the hibiscus also makes this kind of syrupy). I can also taste an underlying note of peppermint, and that is – in my opinion – the best part about this particular blend is the mint and the way it kind of peeks its way through the other flavors. Unfortunately, this is too funky for my taste buds… it’s just not for me.

This isn’t overly flavored jasmine and it’s pleasant but it makes me hungry! LOL

This is very lemony, puckery, and fruity. It’s highly scented and flavored. I’m drinking it hot at the moment and it’s alright…but I think the key to this is ICED.

I’m finishing up the last of the sample I had of this – it really is good.

It has a really beautiful black currant flavor – almost like wine but sweeter and fruitier. I am not getting a lot of tannic quality from this tea either… just a very smooth, even, lovely flavor.

This is highly flavored Black Currant…pretty true to the Black Currant Smell!!!

It’s taste is nice and juicy – berry – but true to the Black Currant, too! It’s sweet but somewhat wine-like, too! This is a good Currant flavored black tea, indeed!

I would say one of the 2 in my faves as far as Black Currant Flavored Tea goes! YUM!
