A pretty good black tea. I won’t rate it since I’ve let it linger in my drawer for an indecent amount of time. It reminds me of assam. I definitely want to try more from this region.

drank Autumn oolong by Rosali Tea

I’m completely obsessed with this tea. I got it in a long-ago subscription box and have been hoarding it. The leaves are long and dark and twisted very slightly at the edges. There are a few smaller dry, very light brown flat leaves mixed in. The smell of peaches is strong, and it tastes sweetly and naturally of peaches. It’s an amazing richly flavored oolong. I desperately want more, but Rosali Tea doesn’t sell it anymore and there’s no information on what region it’s from. I tried emailing them to no avail, so I guess I’ll just savor what I have.

Rasseru

Not sure if you have any dancong experience (you said you are new to puerh, right?) but sounds
to me like some kind of Fenghuang Dan Cong. Not sure about the flat lighter brown leaf but long twisty peach flavour, single origin is bang on the money.

Burbling

Oh my gosh, thank you so much. I’ll look into that! I haven’t had any dancong experience! I’m still kind of exploring tea.

Rasseru

Well, dan cong means single origin/tree, fenghuang the area – ‘phoenix mountain’. And it can be very pricey. But the taste is out of this world.

My favourite vendors for this type are jingteashop & wuyi origin. Yunnan sourcing also stocks them but the first two have the edge.

I overstepped it just a tad, so it’s a little bitter, but I still like it. It has a savory, veggie flavor, and isn’t too grassy like some green teas can be for me. Really it’s a pretty lovely tea, and I wish Rosali tea sold it individually on their website.

I love this tea! I could really taste the buttery, milky flavor. I wish it were a little less expensive.

Another sample from a tea friend trade. Working through the samples!

Green beany smelling, a fresher, higher quality leaf than I am used to smelling in a flavored milk oolong. The Jin Xuan green flavor is strong in the brew, making it bright and green tasting. Sometimes it’s oddly dark green and a little umami.

There’s a little of the caramel milk flavor, but it’s light. It manages to linger through the many steeps I took this through. Though it starts out with no apricot in the beginning, it grows much stronger later.

Thanks for a lovely sample, tea friend!

I received this tea in my monthly Rosali Tea box and was intrigued by the flavor notes that were described: melon, artichoke, and seaweed. To my surprise, with each steeping (the description said you’re supposed to steep it 3 times) each flavor note was present and I was surprised at how complex and different each cup tasted!

This is not a green tea for casual use— it is a tea that is meant to be slowly savored and enjoyed. I think it would be a waste to chug this down while you’re working or something; it’s a great slow Saturday morning tea.

drank Masala Chai by Rosali Tea

One of the teas from the box I won from Rosali Tea.

Chai rather fascinates me. It’s one of the most common blends, but there are a million variations of it, so each one tastes a little different. This version is much to heavy on the cardamom for my tastes. I really dislike cardamom, so I’ll probably be passing this along to someone else. If it weren’t for that I would like it. I made this as a latte, and it’s very flavorful and well-balanced and has an extra spicy zing to it from the ginger, pepper and cardamom. It tastes like it’s good quality, but it’s not my preference.

drank Genmaicha by Rosali Tea
484 tasting notes

This is another of the teas from the box I won from Rosali Tea.

I think this is my favorite Genmaicha I’ve tried. Mostly because I basically can’t taste the green tea, and only taste the toasted rice. I like the taste of toasted rice, but haven’t found a green tea that adds anything to it in my opinion. I will happily drink the rest of this sample but I don’t think I’ll be buying more. I would definitely buy just straight toasted rice or a black Genmaicha if anyone sells them, though.

Another tea from the box I won in Rosali Tea’s drawing.

This is lovely! It’s soft and floral and the base is faintly sweet. I’m pretty sure the base is Bai Mu Dan/White Peony, which I adore on it’s own, and definitely love in this blend. It’s not as strongly flavored as most of the Jasmine teas I’ve had in the past, but it’s really well balanced and the flavors work really well together. I would definitely buy this, but I didn’t see it on their website when I looked, so maybe it’s not something they regularly stock?

drank Milk Oolong by Rosali Tea

I won some free tea from Rosali tea, and this was in the box. I’ve never had a milk Oolong before, so I decided to give it a try. Based on this one, I can see why people like it but I don’t think it’s for me. It was like a very mild, buttery green tea. I’m not much of a green tea drinker, so it’s just not something I can see myself reaching for often. Very nice to try, though.

Very interesting blend of earthy and sweet. I had it hot and it was nice and minty-fresh, but imagine that it could be really nice brewed cold on a hot day. The only thing I like better than this is brewing mint tea with fresh peppermint leaves – this was a close second and I could taste how high-quality it was.

drank Chrysanthemum by Rosali Tea

I’d never had Chrysanthemum tea before, so I was intrigued and excited when I got this in the mail. It was really cool to see the flowers open in the hot water – so much so, that I didn’t want to close the lid of my teapot!

I think it is an acquired taste, but I liked it. It just took a few sips to get used to. I really liked the light green color – very pretty. And I did notice a calming effect, which was super nice.

Kirkoneill1988

may i also link you to snow chrysanthemum by its self?

Madam Oolong

Please do! Have you tried this one that I reviewed btw? Curious to hear what you think.

Madam Oolong

Thank you so much for the suggestions! Really appreciate it :)

I got this tea during the a la carte weekly Tea Tuesday special that Rosali Tea has. I’m drinking it right now on a rainy morning in the kitchen and am really enjoying the smoky, mineral flavor and pretty deep brown-red color. Very happy with this one!

Yum yum yum! I drank this last night before I went to bed and paired it with rice pudding. What a combination! It was so creamy and light and tasted like dessert. I have a feeling it would be good cold, too.

Nice earthy aroma to this tea, which tastes very “grounding” to me. I’ve been drinking it in the mornings with some milk and have been loving it. There’s definitely a hint of cocoa and coffee in there too.

Oh my gosh. This is probably my favorite tea from Rosali Teas, and when I got it in my subscription, I was elated. This is the perfect breakfast tea for me! I love black teas, and I loved the Assam they offer, but this one takes the cake.

This tea goes well with the hot water temperature that I can’t control at work, so that is a must for me. As the name describes, it’s got a strong honey taste without having to add honey into it. MY TASTEBUDS! I can imagine this would make an amazing milk tea.

The steeped leaves still have a lovely malty scent, and this is the tea that I would buy in bulk from Rosali Teas if I could. I’ll wait for the next #teatuesday and hope that Golden Honey Black comes up very soon.

Yes – black tea goes well with the hot water boiler / boiled water in the office. :)

Got this by backing the kickstarter for this company. Yum this is really tasty. Smells like a creamsicle. I had it hot one evening and it was delicious but right now I am tasting it after a cold brew oh man it is good iced. Very mellow on the hibiscus flavor which I appreciate. Not very tart at all. Definitely would love to purchase a full size of this in the future.

I took this off of *TheLastDodo*’s hands. She was kind to sent the entire packet.

The dry leaf has an appealingly sweet, orange aroma. The infusion has a soft texture and is full with flavor. I can mostly taste the orange and the rooibos, which are strong. The aftertaste starts of with orange juice, but seconds later reveals light notes of hibiscus, rosehips, and then vanilla.

I was pleased to find an orange-flavored tea, since there aren’t many. For those wary of hibiscus, I don’t think you’d have to worry about it overpowering this herbal blend. I enjoyed this one.

I like this tea a lot! I’ve been drinking it after meals in the evenings and it’s been really nice. I like to alternate rooibos-chamomile-rooibos during the nights of the week to mix it up :)

Anyways, the lemon wasn’t too strong but it was refreshing and soothing and was really nice with a teaspoon of honey. The floral vibes really came through too

Oh my gosh, I love this one. It’s probably second to Rosali’s Milk Oolong, which is my favorite. This one smells so good and I love drinking it in the morning. The floral jasmine scent is really sweet and natural and very different from other “mainstream” jasmine teas that I have tried.

I love this one! I’ve been drinking a lot of Rooibos tea at night recently, and this one is particularly nice with chocolate (milk chocolate is my favorite, but I’m sure dark would be nice too.) It’s got great orange spiciness, but it’s not super spicy like chai or anything. It’s more of an orange-honey with a faint hint of spice that makes it really nice for cold nights. I like my tea strong so I steeped it for awhile.

drank Sweet Sublime by Rosali Tea

I haven’t been disappointed with the teas I’ve been getting from Rosali yet, but I think that this one is my all-time favorite. I’ve really enjoined drinking it in the evening before bed, and it has a creamy rooibos taste with mild floral notes. I drank all of it way too fast and am really sad about it! I steeped it for 7 minutes because I like strong tea, and it wasn’t overwhelming.
