My favorite tea so far. The taste is incredible and I can brew it anywhere from very light to so strong it jumps out of the cup and slaps me awake. Whether i mix it with a little honey or do it up England style with milk, this tea never disappoints.
Preparation
Exactly what you would expect from a classic English Breakfast Tea. Can be steeped for relatively long periods of time without bitterness. But I doubt that the pyramidal tea bags really add anything – they’re made of conventional filter paper, so they don’t really stay upright after you’ve poured water onto them.
Preparation
A really good bagged black tea, probably the best of the supermarket teas. Doesn’t get bitter. I know women who make a pot of this, drink some while it’s hot, leave the bags in and then microwave subsequent servings — and it’s still decent. Not too much Assam, so other flavours play out. Not fancy, but not to be despised, either.
Preparation
PG Tips is among the best plain, black tea sachet (“bag”) you can buy. Only, I find that because of the large amount of tea per serving, and the quality, is ridicously easy to over steep and make it bitter. When I brew it in a pot, I usually put 1 bag per 1.5 mugs, or 2.25 tea cups. I love a good PG Tips, but a bad cup is just nasty.
Excellent with sugar and milk. If you like this, you need to try their even better PG Tips Special Blend. OMG, amazing but so hard to find.
