I taste some pepperiness from the base. On top of that, I taste a hint of spice from the anise. It’s a pleasant combination, though not super special.

This is supposed to be rhubarb flavor, and I guess I can see that! Combined with the woodiness of the rooibos, it’s not my favorite, but it’s okay cold! I became obsessed with rhubarb & custard candies, so now I buy every rhubarb thing I see, just chasing that flavor ha.

When I stopped by this tiny tea shop in Brighton, I was actually on my way to a different tea shop. I walked two miles each way to get there, but it turns out the other place is now just a tea manufacturer, so I walked straight into a storeroom, then ran away ha. Disappointing. If I had to guess the flavor for this, it seems a bit like grapefruit. It’s pretty fresh and pleasant. Bright, but not too tart. I wouldn’t mind more of this one!

This is a pretty nice EG rooibos. I had it sweetened and cold, and the bergamot combined nicely with the smooth rooibos base. There’s really no reason to seek this tea out over other options, but it was definitely better than some EG rooibos teas I’ve tried.

I got a few samples from a tiny tea shop in Brighton! This is a decent rooibos chai, while still having a bit of a murky flavor from the base. The resteep was hearty enough! I wouldn’t necessarily seek it out, but I appreciated that it was slightly different from other chais due to the random ingredients that you can’t taste specifically, but make it more interesting, like pomegranate and cocoa apparently?
