A very bland tea, as I’m learning. Maybe something for when my senses are very sensitive, but definitely not an every day drink. Steeped the recommended 3-5 minutes with boiling water. I added sweetener and cream to try and bring out a flavor, but absolutely nothing. I’m essentially drinking hot water. Which is ok, I guess, just not for me.
Preparation
Bought this tea because it caught my eye. One of the firsts in joining the tea craze. Followed the directions on the box. It’s very light and fruity. Added a little bit of honey for a natural sweetener. Love it. Probably my favorite one so far.
Flavors: Fruity
Preparation
Yummy! Closest I can get with a grocery store brand of bagged tea to a good loose rooibos. Very strong (malty, even?) when steeped for about 10 minutes. Doesn’t leave a lingering taste in my mouth, just a smooth red tea.
Preparation
Best tea ever in the history of life ever! This is a strong comparison (if not the same) as Twinings Tastes of Summer tea which was discontinued some years back. I have been searching for a tea that even remotely compares to it for at least six years. In fact, I saved the last tea bag that I had after finding out it was discontinued just so that I could have a point of reference for the fragrance alone. It smells heavenly and it brews so wonderfully that it is easy to make it to your personal liking. I love the taste of black tea, but I don’t like it bitter. If you like bitter tea, just let this steep longer. This gem at Kroger has truly made my whole year!
Preparation
This is beginning to be my NEW favorite tea. I must say, add fresh squeezed lemon, and its a real treat!! I’m having it with my dinner: Simply Salad creamy ranch and bacon. (Yes, I forgot to put in my bio that I am happily single with a few close friends). I have a terrible bad habit of eating dinner at my computer, usually I am on Tumblr. Yes I update Tumblr regularly. I should be on quizlet for Spanish class. I need to study for the exam next Wednesday. I love Steepster’s new layout!! Kudos to whoever is running this site. I’m also having an apple. My doctor says that an apple a day actually is good advice. My mom is into juicing. She says you should only drink tea in between meals. I don’t know why. My dad’s birthday is this weekend, I’m very excited!! A lot is happening right now. I get to see my friend M. tomorrow, I haven’t seen him in 3 weeks due to the weather. And I haven’t seen the good people at Wendy’s in that long either. We are expecting 8-10 inches of snow starting Tuesday night around 9 pm!! Today was perfect!! Partly cloudy, it helped with my mood.
Preparation
After sampling two teas that I didn’t like, my expectations were low so this was a pleasant surprise.
The color of this tea looks like golden honey and it smells sweet yet citrusy. The flavors that stand out most to me are the ginseng, honey, and lemon verbena. If you imagine squeezing a fresh lemon wedge into a cup that contains a dollop of honey, a few drops of Panax Ginseng (the vials of ginseng), and green tea, then this is what you’ll get! The best part of this, is that you get to skip all of that work and just pour in water for the same result!
Preparation
This tea is delicious! I’m usually not a fan of herbal teas (due to their mostly tart, unappealing hibiscus flavor) but I wanted a caffeine-free choice, so I picked this up from Kroger last week. It was love at first sip! Cinnamon is my favorite spice, and this tea definitely does not lack flavor! The cinnamon aroma and flavor is very deep. I also like how the tea, which is sugar free, has a natural sweetness to it. 100% recommended!
Very light flavor, steeped two bags and still had issues truly tasting the tea. Very similar to the Wild Berry Zinger in aroma and taste. Not horrible, but I won’t be purchasing it again.
ETA-Husband steeped his for much longer and left the bag in, as well as added a generous amount of honey. His was wonderful. Much stronger and delicious.
Preparation
I wasn’t going to log this because these are tea bags and they are terrible but just a note out there to anyone who might buy these and think to have it as iced tea: don’t.
This is just bordering tolerable when hot, but iced, oh my god, it’s like peppermint mixed in with twigs. Mostly twigs, then peppermint.
I think it’s safe to assume I can taste things again in which case this is relegated to the pantry until the next cold comes along.
I needed to grab peppermint tea since this movie theatre with its eat in menu shows “herbal teas” and I was like, oh good, I can get peppermint. No. They had four teas and only one of them was herbal. So finally today I am getting my peppermint tea especially because today is the day of the cold where it feels like everything’s trying to leave via coughing.
I was hoping to get an organic peppermint but meh, I couldn’t find one in the other section of the store so this one would have to do. It does brew up way too quickly, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since it does say 3-5 min on the box.
The good thing is that it’s not actually super minty, I can actually taste it and it’s not like that immediate menthol feeling in my mouth. YES I CAN TASTE AGAIN. It is fantastic.
So yeah really peppermint. Nothing special. Feels good. Far prefer a larger cut of peppermint but when Kroger’s all you have what can you really do. (Though one I used to live near had some, I feel like.)
