I was given this tea as a freebie when I made my first order with Adagio. They asked me for my birthday and gave me a sample of the corrosponding tea.
I like peaches as a fruit, but so far I haven’t been all that fond of it in tea, so I’ve put of trying it for a while. If I had checked beforehand instead of afterwards, I might have told them a fake birthday in order to get a different tin.
The leaves are large and you can clearly see both the white and the oolong. It smells very much like peach though, so I’m a bit sceptic and I’ve only made a small pot.
After steeping it smells more like oolong than it does of peach. It’s still peachy but it’s just an underlying note rather than the overwhelmingness of the dry leaves, and I’m pleased to find that although it does taste of peaches and it’s not a tea I’ll ever be especially fond of, I think, it’s not nearly as bad as I had feared. The oolong and white peony definitely makes up for the peach.
I’ll probably not buy more of this, but I am likely to eventually try some of the other zodiac blends, if for nothing else than collecting the tins.) It’s a great idea for a gift for someone, definitely.
Opening the tin, the amazing bouquet draws you in. It is as if I lit a stick of Jasmine incense and let the smoke waft up around me. This key characteristic is also the key problem with this tea: the bouquet overpowers the flavor. It is like drinking a bottle of perfume.
Was looking for something to drink and there was this sample from Adagio. I opened the container and the aroma wafting up woke up my senses! The hint of chocolate is what first got me. Then after brewing for 5 minutes, the taste was wonderful: rich, creamy and the hint of chocolate. Not for early morning but mid morning or (I can hardly wait) mid afternoon this is too good!!
I was in the mood for this today. I steep it for 4 minutes and find that it gives me a nice flavor that is neither too strong or bitter. Smells good and has a lovely color. Have about one cup left of the sample so I suppose I need to order a full size seeing as this is one of the only straight (non-flavored) black teas I enjoy.

Inguna….I just saw that the Gemini blend is sold out….is it still being blended, or is it gone for good? I love that blend (and the hazelnut/vanilla oolong/irish breakfast one)…
I believe it’s just temporarily out of stock. Adagio said that most missing blends should be be back by the end of the month.
I have my fluffy blanket wrapped all around me, an extraordinarily thin and crisp almondina cookie and a cup of Sagittarius tea. That is the way to spend the evening!
I’m a big sucker for anything lemony so do like bergamot flavor a lot. I dunno but there is something uplifting about citrus aroma. Cream and vanilla add some smoothness and sweetness blending well with the bright notes of the bergamot.
