This is my first sample from Verdant Tea and I’m truly impressed. A wonderful green tea that is well balanced. It has a nice vegetal taste while also having a fair amount of sweetness reminiscent of a Bi Luo Chun. Overall a wonderful choice. I’m definitely going to be looking for more green teas from them.

Wonderful ripe puerh. Very smooth with a nice finish. There is a great complexity of woody and earthy flavors. It is almost like walking through an autumnal forest with a variety of leaves on the ground. You get that multitude of smells all at once. It is the same way with this tea. There are all these woodsy flavors coming together at once. Very pleasant.

For my first raw pu-erh, I really enjoyed this. There is a slight astringent vegetal taste coupled with a mellow green tea taste. There is a slight bite in the mouth, but in an enjoyable amount. It is not too much or too little, but rather just right. There is also this ever so slightly smoky or woody undertone. It is very slight and hard to place, but it is definitely what seems to distinguish this for a more traditional green tea.

I greatly enjoyed drinking this this morning at the Cleveland Tea Revival. Nothing like enjoying a couple of pots of tea while working on some homework in the morning sunshine. This tea has a wonderful smooth ripe pu-erh taste. A nice sweet, dirty, and woody aroma.

Not sure if I’ll get this again. If you steep the tea too long you get an extremely bitter tea. It almost hurts going down. By steeping it shorter, however, it turns out to be a nice sweet/bitter taste that is actually somewhat enjoyable.

Enjoying some ripe pu-erh this morning. Not sure really what kind or where it is from since it was a gift. It has a wonderful deep earthy taste and aroma though.

I got this as a free sample with my last order from Adagio. I’ve been quite impressed so far. For an inexpensive tea, it has a great complexity of flavor. Overall it has a slight astringency, but not too much. There is even a touch of sweetness in the cup. Very typical assam flavor profile with perhaps a bit more of a bite. Not strong astringency, but just a more defined profile. It’s hard to explain.

One of my favorites! Everytime I enjoy it. Fruity, sweet with just the slightest astringency at the end.

I’m not sure how I feel about this tea. I love hazelnut, but am still not sure if I enjoy it in a tea. If you like hazelnut I would definitely give it a try!

I was offered this tea this morning and enjoyed it. Basically your standard chai, but very good for a tea bag and stuff.
