I tried this first in a sample and was pretty amazed by it. When I first tasted it, I was perplexed enough by the flavor to have to look it up on the site; it was so sweet and tangy. The citrus flavor is definitely the primary flavor to me, but what got me was that sneaky mango aroma with it. Quite different! I thought it was pretty good, but didn’t think much more of it at the time—until a week later, where I was coming home from a long night at work and suddenly craved it. Now I keep a bag around at all times—it’s very relaxing to drink before sleeping, and the sweet and tanginess of it can really curve the periodic sweet tooth. The flavor definitely may not be for everyone, because it is rather strong. But I’d highly suggest trying it at least once to anyone!

Interesting – I think this is pretty vile hot, but that it’s an AMAZING tea cold-steeped. The only reason I bought it was because they had iced samples in the store and it was simply too tasty to resist.

I tried this tea at work when a coworker brought it in! Absolutely delicious. I wanted something fairly light, green tea based, and floral for my sore throat at the time. It definitely was light, had the little extra flavor from the mix of the teas, and the floral-like taste was just plain nice. I really will have to get some for myself next time at Lupicia.. and bring some tea for my coworker to try now. :)

drank Pineapple Barley Tea by Lupicia

For a barley tea, it is very strong flavored. I almost thought it was coffee at first, but it is in fact just a very strong barley tea—which may be perfect for coffee lovers trying to get off their coffee kick. It is, of course like other barley teas, caffeine-free as well. The pineapple aroma and flavor, in my opinion, is great. It is stronger than I expected, but not overwhelming to me. If someone dislikes pineapple, this is probably not a tea for them, though. Overall, it’s a really great tea worth trying if you like stronger barley tea. Sometimes, I do wish it was just a bit lighter though.

Very good, strong grapefruit aroma. It’s also a fairly light tea—would be great for anyone that is not a fan of the stronger tea flavors imo.

drank Melon White Tea by Lupicia
7 tasting notes

The biggest problem with Lupicia is how they recommend boiling water for all their teas. Any true tea drinker knows this completely incorrect! After taking that into consideration, it’s a well-rounded melon tea. It’s pretty floral ontop of a melon aroma. The white tea flavor, when I have made it, is pretty strong but not overtly strong either. I find it a good alternative to the honeydew melon rooibos-based tea if I’m not feeling like rooibos at the time.

I simply cannot agree with you there – Lupicia are a HUGE brand and obviously very knowledgeable about their own product. I think their teas are at their absolute best when you follow the steeping instructions – otherwise there tends to be bitterness and loss of flavour.

Their greens and whites simply aren’t as delicate as many other teas. Teas are different, and a ‘true tea drinker’ would know this, and acknowledge this, so I’m going to challenge you to overcome your prejudice and try all Lupicia’s teas using the steeping suggestions. =)

I am new to the Pu’er/Puerh teas after a coworker recommended I try them, so I can’t comment on the Pu’er flavoring. I can, however, recommend it on everything else. The chocolate aroma is so rich, with quite a bright strawberry popping out. It’s become one of my favorites to buy in a sachet to have in my work pack so I can make some any time.
