I was deeply lucky to get a large tin of this on sale. It takes a bit of extra work to get this right, but I would go by instinct if you don’t have anything to measure the temperature or the leaves out of this. Sometimes I would add a bit more leaves for a stronger flavor, and even if the water is too hot, it really isn’t that bad at all. It’s flexible, but smooth. You can’t really go wrong with it. I never had a bad brew with this.

Overall: Fantastic.

It’s been a while since I’ve tried Numi, but this was a nice comeback. It’s a solid black tea that I can use for travelling when I don’t have my loose tea or if I don’t have the patience to make a loose black tea brew. Very smooth, not incredibly bold, and solid.

Overall: Good.

My favorite white jasmine tea, hands down. Comparable to the Jasmine pearls but there’s something about this that feels like how jasmine-scented tea should be like.

Why did this tea have soy lecithin when other teas from Teavana like MateVana don’t? I have no idea.

I did manage to enjoy a cup or two, since soy lecithin, at least for me, isn’t as bad as a reaction like let’s say… Tofu. The majority of the allergens happen to be in the protein, at least. (I’m sensitive/intolerant and not severely allergic however.)

It probably should have been called “Mint Cacao Black” instead of “Cacao Mint Black” because the mint just wants to love you and shove the chocolate-ness aside. But the mint doesn’t completely overpower the whole thing, and it tries to get along with the other flavors in this tea. It’s probably more-than-perfect for autumn, not something I would really enjoy in the summer. It’s also surprisingly calm for a black tea. Most black teas have a wakening effect on me and this seemed to have the near-opposite.

Overall: Good mint-ish tea.

For something more chocolate-y I would head towards JavaVana or Matevana
