Finally got the opportunity to check this place out last week. They couldn’t be more helpful.
This restaurant specializes in Middle Eastern cuisine. Their menu includes most popular Eastern dishes including meat (lamb, beef and chicken) specials and gyros, Dolmas, Arabic rice, Hummus, Baba Ghanoug, Tabouli, and a variety of salads. The food is great and affordable and also includes complimentary hot tea. It was great but crowded so I couldn’t get any information about the tea. In this case FREE did not mean inferior. This tea was a delightful bonus.
My plans were to try this place for lunch but we got there a little later than we had planned so I just purchased some tea and chatted up Steepster. The food review will have to wait until next time. This is a very girly girl place and reminded me of a comfortable visit to my grandmother’s house. I found a press release about this place and it is named after the owner’s grandmother, Hattie. I heard several ladies making plans to return for Bingo Night. I’ll have to find out more about this on my next visit. Now that would make an unusual Steepster Meetup.
My mother started going to teas hosted by Anna Marie’s several years ago and coaxed me to tag along. I think my first one was a Mother’s Day tea but there have been so many delightful ones that I’m not sure. Each time, I’m fascinated with the food and conversation. Brenda, the hostess often takes time to circulate and answer questions about tea and customs. Many times they have created special blends around the theme such as the Scarlet’s blend.
Although I’ve ordered online from this shop and been very happy with the results, I try to drop by for most of my purchases since the staff is so knowledgeable.
