This place is adorable. Modern style tea room cafe. They offer fancy hats and fancy things for fancy people. Nice places to have a good time. I haven’t been here in a while. The tea was good but I believe it was bagged and the food was good. English style “tea room” food. The staff was courteous and friendly as well.
I haven’t been to this place is quite sometime. I’m not sure if things have changed so my opinion may need updating. They do have a broad selection of loose leaf teas and will brew a cup of tea for you to go. Which is nice. I choose 4 stars because the last time I remember being there the customer service was subpar. The staff was a bit snippy. But, as I said, perhaps I’m due for another visit and would have another, more pleasant experience.
I believe this place is called Robinson’s Tea Room. If ambiance and a fun time out is what you want here’s your spot. It’s a cute little place. A majority of the teas are bagged and common brands you’d find in the grocery store but served in a cute tea pot with cute tea cups. It’s English style “tea room” food. The staff is also very attentive and polite.
I went to this place years back. I had a great experience. I enjoyed a red tea called Monks tea I believe. The ambiance was nice and the ritual of picking a tea pet and having our tea brewed was very nice. The founder Shunan Teng is very knowledgeable about teas from China. She goes to the tea plantations and estates in China to check out places as well. She has a lot of information on their website. https://tea-drunk.com/tea-101/
Kristine (the owner) is extremely knowledgeable in tea. She is constantly adding new unique teas to her already extensive collection. With over 400 different types of loose teas you’re bound to find one that suites you. There are also tea workshops available. http://infuseteabarny.com/workshops/ Fair warning: NEVER and I do mean NEVER ask for a recommendation or say something on the order of “surprise me”. But, if you need some help deciding, guidance will be given. :D
