This was my first time with this tea. I ordered a sample to determine whether or not it will join my regular rotation of teas.

The aroma of this tea has the earthy notes that mark a Puerh, but were milder than expected. The strawberry really announced itself as well.

The liqueur found the Puerh tones were indeed muted, and a touch on the creamy side. The aromatic strawberries were practically missing in taste, with the nuttiness of the hazelnuts only really showing up in the aftertaste.

Even when brewed for the recommended time, it comes across as underpowered in taste. I believe I’ll increase both the amount of tea used as well as the time when I try my second cup.

For someone new to Puerhs this is a great introduction, however I’m not sure this one hits the same marks for those with a more expereinced palate.
