I’ve been living in North Thailand for the past 20+ years. Still, I somehow managed to miss the emerging scene of tea cultivation there, until I passed through the ethnic Chinese town of Doi Mae Salong in the North Thai mountains a few years ago and realized every second house is a tea shop there. I stopped by for a few of them, and a new love was born. My life has become much of a tea life ever since: I fell in love with the green, Oolong and black teas from Doi Mae Salong, and I fell in love with the habit. Finally made my new hobby a little end-of-the-work-day business, actually more driven by the mission bringing this tea to tea lovers everywhere in the world than by financial motivations.
