6 Tasting Notes
I was at Barnes & Noble and the selection was limited, so this was my choice. I’m not usually a fan of fruity teas, so I don’t know why I was hoping this one would be different.
I found this to be entirely too sweet. Both the cranberry and orange were cloying to the point of nearly gagging me.
This green is only alright. It may be the particular batch I got, but this is too “earthy” for me (and I typically love earthy), to the point of almost being skunky. I’ll use it if I’m out of a better green, but it isn’t near my first choice.
Preparation
I love spicy teas, and this did not disappoint. A lot of Teavana’s flavored teas are light on the actual tea leaves, but this wasn’t. The flavor was nice and strong, even if not terribly smooth. Clove is the dominant flavor here, backed by pepper. The vanilla is subtle and not overwhelming, which I had originally worried about.
This will be a perfect Fall/Winter tea.
