2 Tasting Notes

Prepared at 90C with electric hand whisk (lazy) topped with oat milk.
Had a bunch of clumps at the bottom of the cup this morning, might try to whisk for longer next time and with less water initially. Taste was on the bitter side, would probably try to add a squeeze of honey next time I make it.

2nd time: Tried whisking it with just enough water at first to cover the tea at the bottom of the cup and made sure it was all blended in before adding more water. No clumps this time and also added a bit of honey and red bean paste with oat milk whisked in to make a matcha red bean latte. Couldn’t taste any bitterness this time!

I find I get the best results with matcha if I make a smooth paste with warm/hot water before adding any more liquid. :)

The same thing works well when adding liquid to a roux!

Just tried it the way you recommended and it was really nice with no clumps! :D
