4 Tasting Notes

I received a free sample of this tea with a purchase I made. I wanted something a bit hazelnut-y and this was recommended to me. It smells good and tastes even better. It is a great dessert tea. I had a cup of this with a box of chocolate truffles and it was to die for. I never sweeten my teas but I’m sure the chocolate on my lips probably helped sweetened this tea a bit. I need to return to make a (big) purchase of Bossa Nova!

I love lychee! When I was at ten ren tea I was looking for new and exciting goodies to buy and try I saw this lychee black tea in the giant tin. I asked the young lady if I could have a smell and it smelled heavenly! I bought 2 oz and made a pitcher of iced tea with it as soon as I got home. I never added any sweetener. It was fruity, tart and refreshing with just the right amount of natural sweetness. I went through those 2 oz quick and I had to go back for another 6oz. I have yet to try it hot.

This is good hot, But I like it better iced. It’s a little strong and tangy and so melted ice dilutes it quite nicely.

This tea is ok but not as good as I was expecting it to be. I don’t really taste any chocolate in it but the mint sure is in there. Also, I dislike that the tea produces a layer of oil like substance at the top, not very appealing.
