Not usually a fan of Earl Grey tea, but love the character so had to give it a try. Mild flavour, but good especially with oat milk. Unfortunately didn’t get the chance to try with sugar as well, since this tea reminded me that chamomile makes me nauseated so I can’t drink any more. ಥ‿ಥ

Tried with oat milk this time: adds a creaminess and offsets the seaweed taste a little bit. I always have matcha with a tsp of sugar, but maybe one day I’ll wean myself off of it haha.

A staple for me, with oat milk and a tsp of sugar. One of the many things that reminds me of home. On my second(!) bag of 1200 teabags. I haven’t tried the loose leaf version but I’m sure it’s just as good, if not better.

Bio

I’m Emil, a 28yo non-binary English immigrant living in the USA. I’ve drank tea all my life but usually Yorkshire teabags (which are pretty good). I’m trying to branch out to loose leaf for health reasons, and also because the whole process is kind of magical (plus now that I’m in the USA I can actually buy Adagio fandom blends!)

I’m super into Final Fantasy 14 (Final Fantasy in general honestly), the Drakenier universe, and gaming in general. I also spin yarn, knit and crochet, and do digital art.

Me and my husband live in an apartment with a tiny kitchen, so his coffee obsession plus my tea obsession takes up a lot of space.

I haven’t been tasting tea other than bagged black tea for very long, but I do have some Flavour Opinions™️

Flavours I like (。・ω・。)ノ♡:

- Fruit, especially peach, strawberry, and raspberry
- Citrus
- Dessert kind, chocolate, caramel etc
- Mild vegetal flavours (matcha with sugar basically. Yes I know (;ŏ﹏ŏ))

Flavours I dislike ಥ_ಥ:

- Extreme spiciness
- Extremely vegetal
- Peppermint, although it’s usually ok blended
- Anything bitter
- Artificial flavours
- Extreme sweetness
- Earl Grey

That being said, I’ll try (mostly) anything once. I’m sure I’ll add to both of these lists in time.

I don’t get overly accurate with my tea brewing since I don’t have any temperature measuring devices but I do my best.

As for my scoring legend:

100-90: Must have teas that I’ll always keep stocked. Probably something I have multiple times a week.

89-70: Good teas that I would recommend and probably have once a week. Wouldn’t get too upset if I ran out but would buy again.

69-50: Ok teas, not the worst but not the best. Would probably have occasionally, and would probably rebuy if I was really craving it or if nothing else did it better.

49-30: Mediocre teas. I would probably finish it slowly but not rebuy.

29-11: Pretty bad tea, would probably try my best to drink the rest but there’s a high chance of it being binned.

10-1: I dumped the contents into the sink and immediately threw the rest away.
