5 Tasting Notes
I look forward to drinking this every morning! Very fine, green, and not clumpy at all. It tastes like a good, strong, “regular” green tea. I’ve made it thin, thick, and even with milk, and it’s good any which way. I’m going to try baking with it too.
Just snagged this from a tjmaxx in flint, for 2.99. Mostly chamomile tastes, with the edge taken off. I usually find chamomile too strong/bitter to stomach, but I really like this one. I’ve gotten two cup out of the bag, and I’ll give it a try for the third. A good bedtime tea :)
This was an interesting tea to try. The first cup was warm and earthy, with an almost grassy hint and slightly sweet. With more brews, the sweetness dissipates to an after thought, and the grassy notes also fade. Some bitterness starts to appear, but is not overpowering (but I imagine you could over brew this one!)
All in all, a good tea and a fun first “real” puerh to try!
