4 Tasting Notes

This is now my morning and sometimes afternoon tea when I need a boost.

Has low bitterness, and an almost creamy quality. The only tea I’ve had that I think tastes better is Teavana’s English Breakfast. Compared to Teavana’s English Breakfast, this tea is weaker in overall flavor (negative for me), less bitter (positive for me), has a creamy taste/feeling (positive), and is about half the price (biggest positive for me).

This is the only Irish Breakfast I’ve had, so I don’t have anything to compare it to; but from what I gather, Irish Breakfast should be stronger than an English Breakfast. Either way, this is going to be my daily tea until I can find one better at a similar price.

This is my daily tea when I’m going through financial rough patches; just because it’s cheap, and I like it better than teabags. I also drink it because it’s the only loose leaf tea I can find at the local supermarket chains.

I like Lipton’s loose leaf black tea quite a bit better than any tea I’ve had in a teabag. The flavor is similar to the regular Lipton teabags, but a little less bitter, and the flavor is a little fuller. That being said, it’s the most bitter, and tasteless loose leaf tea I’ve ever had.

The tea itself is very finely chopped; more-so than any loose leaf tea I’ve seen. Not an expert, but I think this would be called “fannings?” I only recommend this tea on the basis of it being so cheap, and it’s better than teabags.
