5 Tasting Notes
Tart, light, and fruity hibiscus and apple are at the core of this tea. Cinnamon adds a warm heart, and the popcorn gives the tea body and a silky mouthfeel. This tea is warm, delicious, and full of holiday spirit.
To those who find it too tart I say- bah, humbug!
Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon, Hibiscus
Preparation
For me, someone who loves coffee, this was a terrible substitute. For the tea lover in me, I was sorely disappointed as well. Weak yet bitter, the almond did nothing for it either.
The pu’erh’s strong flavours were done a disservice by the bitter, yet bland and water-y, coffee flavouring. The almond flavouring did nothing for me either.
Preparation
Light, bright, clean black tea that doesn’t need milk or sugar to make it a delicious treat (and I almost always add milk and sugar to my black teas so this is really something).
This tea has a warm orangey-brown liquor, and powdery smell like rocket candies and pineapple when brewed. The tea has citrusy sweet notes, but they float on top of the strong base of a delicious blend of refined black teas that lack any bitter astringency, a smooth and sippable charm I’ve found in Ladureé’s Jardin Bleu and Ladurée blends as well.
Flavors: Citrusy, Dark Wood, Pineapple
Preparation
The tea that made me fall in love with tea, and Paris. Sweet strawberries and cream, this black tea truly lights up with the addition of milk and a little sugar. If you want to feel like a princess, this blend is it.
Flavors: Creamy, Floral, Strawberry
