I’d love to rate Teaism higher, but they are rather expensive, and their selection is somewhat limited. The tea choices end up being somewhat stagnant, but what they do offer is good quality. It’s my go to for Vithanakande since I can’t seem to find that anywhere else nowadays. They do get special, pricier shipments in from time to time, but you have to be on their VIP list and drop everything to get there before they sell out. Teaism also offers 2 fantastic Korean green teas, Joonjak and Saejak, which are must-tries for green tea devotees.

A traditional Chinese tea house in a serene, contemplative space in Georgetown. The oolong and green selections are good, the blacks and tisanes somewhat less so. There is food here, and it is delicious (especially the lotus seed pastries), but the focus is definitely on the tea. You’ll want to come early in the afternoon to have time to savor a full oolong ceremony—it’ll be expensive, but you’ll still smell the perfume hours later.

Bio

I’ve been an inveterate tea drinker since I was 8. As a perfume aficionado, I focus heavily on aroma, and mainly stick to unflavored blacks and oolongs. I do drink tisanes as a late night alternative to caffeine.
