drank Sakura Sencha by Den's Tea

Well, the dry nose in this was initially floral, then milky and finally spinachy. When I brewed it up, the tea smelled floral and milky; an interesting combination. Once it cooled down to a drinkable temperature, it tasted quite pleasantly of milk, with an aftertaste of natural cherry. Maybe my tastebuds are weird or something, because everyone seems to have tasted something completely different than I did. I like it though; it’s really nice and tasty.

I haven’t had an Earl Grey in a while. I quite like this tea, even though it seems the majority of people think the bergamot is too strong/weak. I think it’s just enough, especially when you add milk and sugar. Mmm. It’s a good tea when you need some caffeine and a craving for bergamot.

This was a very interesting tea. I can’t say I’m very into heavy or smoky flavors, and this was kind of like that. I had had some genmaicha before, so that may have colored my perception of this tea, but I thought it tasted a lot like genmaicha. I didn’t like it as much as I had wanted to, but it was a sample, so I’m not feeling too bad about it.

Mmmm…Genmaicha. I’ve been craving this for a while, and my Den’s tea sampler came in, so I thought I’d try some. I think the genmaicha/maccha combination is interesting. The maccha makes the brew really green, which is nice; it truly is green tea! I couldn’t taste much of it, but that may have been the point. The nice toasty flavor of the rice came through, which was lovely. The infused tea smells like seaweed and rice…mmm. This is probably my favorite tea so far, and Den’s does it so well.

Wow. This is my first time trying a genmaicha. I’m blown away by the toasty rice flavor. They really weren’t kidding when they said it had a rice-y taste. It quite effectively gets rid of the bitter flavor often found in a lot of green teas. I’m not sure how it compares to other genmaicha, as I’ve only had this one, but now I’m hooked.

I have to preface this saying that I love Thai iced tea. It’s probably one of my first loves, and still my favorite iced tea. Anyway, Wangderm has come out with a great black tea to replicate the taste of the Jasmine green tea, milk and sugar in Thai iced tea. It tastes just like a good Thai iced tea, and you can even drink it hot. It’s very delicious.

I can’t believe I totally forgot to log this! Well, this is a beautiful tea. It leans to the darker side, but has some bright notes. It smelled a lot darker than I thought it would when I opened the bag. It was only a dollar per ounce though, so it was a great deal anyway. I thought it was okay.

This is the smoothest green tea I’ve ever had. It’s buttery and completely mellow. It doesn’t stick in the mouth and has a clean feeling. I sweetened it a little, but it doesn’t seem to have affected the flavor. Give this one a try; you won’t regret it, especially since it’s a dollar an ounce at the moment.

Had this with my mum the other day. The infused smell is delicious. It’s so creamy that it even smells creamy. It has a bitter aftertaste though. I don’t particularly like Earl Grey, like most other black teas. I’m afraid this might have influenced my perception of this tea.

The smell of the infusion is so delicious. There’s a definite strawberry scent, and I can even find some hints of papaya. The flavors dominate the green tea, but this is by no means a bad thing. And it’s not bitter at all.
