From Yogi Tea

Restoring internal purity has never tasted so good. Yogi Peach DeTox is a blend of traditional purifying herbs that support the body’s natural cleansing processes. Our formula uses an Ayurvedic combination called “trikatu” — a blend of ginger, black pepper and long pepper — that gently increases circulation. Organic dandelion supports the liver’s function to eliminate toxins, and fo-ti, a highly regarded herb in Traditional Chinese Medicine, supports liver and kidney function. When you drink Peach DeTox as a part of your regular wellness program, its mild but effective blend of herbs will help you revitalize.

Final Sipdown of the day, while watching the Cardinals kick butt.
Who knows how old this teabag is, LOL, but it’s gone now. I enjoy a few of Yogi teas, with my favorite being the Egyptian Licorice. This one is ok. The main thing I like about it is the taste of Ginger. Otherwise, it’s a pretty mild tasting cup, with a nice warming sensation. Probably not something I’ll restock. This ends my day with 247 teas, Sil!

I thought I’d try more of a medicinal tea today. Though I’m not sure how a tea could help your kidneys. This did taste a bit medicinal. Like most Yogi teas, there is a lot of ginger, ginger, ginger. Which I don’t like. I’m not a fan of ginger. But the pepper and the cinnamon almost made it like a chai cookie or something. There certainly isn’t a peach flavor. My tongue is kind of buzzing with pepper right now, probably because I drank the last gulp at the bottom of the cup. Not a complete gross out medicinal tea, but I don’t know how much it will detox. Compared to what? I wish Yogi would make non-ginger teas.

I think it just makes you pee more… :-P

This is a good and relaxing blend. I could drink it all day, I really could. I like the combination of spice and fruit in here, although as I said, it’s got quite a spicy pepper-ginger kick to it. I feel like it even calms me a bit, which is much appreciated. I don’t know that I actually drink it often enough to gain the benefits it promises, but even a bit here and there is a good start, right?

Single bag from the last TTB. This seems to have a similar spice base to other Yogi herbal teas. It’s a little peachy and herbal. It’s mild, but not very exciting.

TTB

I really dislike ‘detox’ blends. It’s just…not a thing and I hate brands that try to sell any kind of detox to consumers.

Despite my annoyance at the name, decided to give it a try, as the combination of peach, cinnamon, and clove sounded interesting.

Alas, this is just cinnamon and clove- maybe a touch of ginger? Meh, it’s a spiced herbal, not something I need to have again.

Shae

Agree with you on the detox teas. We seem to have accumulated quite a few though because James loves those kinds of blends. Not because they are detox but because he likes the way they taste. Still haven’t figured that out.

Not always a fan of Yogi teas, but I quite like this one! It’s a peach ginger blend, but the other ingredients really make it stand out. The cinnamon early in the sip highlights the sweetness of the peach while the dandelion root gives it depth. Sampled this out of the TTB but would happily drink it again in the future!

Tastes like peachy cough medicine.

Licorice in this one, too? I don’t think I have ever had a Yogi blend that didn’t…and in nasty, overbearing proportions.

@gmathis Yupppp. I should know better by now. Hahaha.

Kitchen clean-out, unknown age. Why does my housemate have one tea-bag left of a few dozen teas?

Dry bag smells mostly of cinnamon and cardamom with some clove and ginger underneath. The aroma smells really good, like a spicy chai with a sweet note of syrup. First sip is has some bite and is very thin with spicy ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and clove. Finishes only a hint sweet from licorice root and very clean. No lingering spice in throat, warming in the chest.

Peach DeTox. Peach. Where’s the peach? Does anybody know where the peach is?? Peach flavor is listed as the third ingredient in a list of 17, yes 17 ingredients. This might be a record. But where’s the peach?! I think the cinnamon, cardamom and ginger oils listed near the bottom are used to cover up a bunch of stale herbs and spices or something.

If this tea were simply advertised as a spicy herbal chai, I’d be inclined to rate it higher.

This tea is so very heavy. The flavors are overpowering and even adding milk doesn’t make this very enjoyable. The peach flavor is weak at best and the odd licorice type flavor is off putting. I got this to replace a giner tea that I used to use to detox but it’s not very good. I find myself adding so much sugar whenever I drink it it’s not an enjoyable experience at well.

I finally reorganized my tea cabinet, and I found a bunch of these! I love this tea so much. I love most spice type teas. I can never tasted the peach flavor, is it even there? I don’t actually believe that a tea could detox the body, bit I always feel warm after drinking this tea. It’s cold out so I figured I could use a cup of Peach Detox. I’m happy with my choice tonight!
