Notes:Fragrant Mist, Woody Scent and Perfume
№238:2021 Winter|Dayuling 大禹嶺, Nantou

For Taiwanese tea experts, Dayuling has always been the sacred destination for one reason – it houses the rarest tea grown at an altitude of 2400 meters above sea level.

Our Dayuling Oolong carries a chilled mountain aroma and sophisticated sweetness. The most incredible characteristic of this tea is its extraordinarily smooth taste and unique woody flavor. It’s like tasting perfume that never turns bitter.

Dayuling Oolong represents the top quality of Oolong tea while it’s extremely limited and memorable. Wolf Tea proudly brings this precious treasure to you every year and hopes it becomes one of your most cherished tasting memories.

TTB 2025. I was really impressed by this one. There was only 3.5g of this left, so I used it all up. I brewed grandpa-style at 205°, and there was zero bitterness. It was floral and sweet with a thick, almost oily mouth feel. I also got a note of citrus. I stretched the leaves as far as I could and ended up going through about a liter of water over an hour and a half, until it was too weak to keep going.

I’m really glad I had the opportunity to try a sample of this.

TTB 2025. The writing on the packaging got a bit smudged, but I think it’s this tea.

It’s a cold, gloomy day, the sort that just screams for some oolong gong fu. This fit the bill! Creamy, gently sweet, and floral. Kept me company while I worked.

Floral and minimally mineral. Really you don’t need much beyond that as far as a description goes. It is a light oolong. Both in flavor and in processing. It doesn’t really pack much of a punch and becomes astringent too quickly; not terribly astringent but just… I don’t want my oolongs to have astringency. Gardenia mainly, with bits of other florals mixed in.
