This tightly rolled tea definitely took its time unfurling, but the notes of freshly mowed grass, tobacco, barnyard hay, and brown rice syrup were well worth the wait! Basically, this heicha tastes like sweltering hot Prairie summers in an almost painfully nostalgic way. There’s a bit more astringency and bitterness than my ideal, but cutting the brew with more water quickly balances it out. Perfect for a late June afternoon in the garden!!
