From What-Cha

A unique new oolong from Darjeeling’s Rohini Tea Estate, it is produced in the very early parts of the second flush when insect activity is at its peak. The insect damage causes the leaf to oxidise prior to picking, resulting in an added sweetness.

The light oxidisation of the tea gives it a light spicy zesty taste reminiscent of a first flush Darjeeling which combines with the sweetness from the insect damage to give the tea a unique sweet and spicy taste.

Sourced direct from Rohini tea estate in Darjeeling.

I’ve only had this one twice, but I’m not sure about it yet. It’s definitely honeyed, but it’s got a very drying herby quality to it that I’m still figuring out bordering between pepper and lavender. It’s either to thin or too intense causing some indecision for me, especially on whether to raise or lower the leaf ratio.

I’ll come back to it. Interesting one, but not sure if I love it.
