Gongfu Sipdown (1536)!

I’ve had a couple of these “Shui Xian Pillows” or “Shui Xian Fruitcakes” before, and this one wasn’t really all that different from them. I’m happy for that; it was very much what I was banking on when I selected it for my session this morning. I love the sweet and floral notes of peony, jasmine, and violet that this oolong has and the fleeting notes of ripe green melons. The finish reminds me so strongly of the crisp sweet crunch of sugar snap peas straight from the garden! It’s a bit like drinking a Springtime getaway in heart of cold, rainy Autumn which is, frankly, just lovely!
