From Tearunners

Laoshan is a small village near the sea in northeast China. Laoshan black teas are usually small and tippy, lacking the white pekoe-style hairs that give black teas their golden color. This Classic Laoshan Black, grown under the shadow of a sacred mountain, is very smooth and viscous with a robust flavor that has a distinct dark chocolate bite. One of Tea Runners’ most popular black teas.

2019 harvest.

Focusing on sipping through this. It’s rich and chocolatey, but I much prefer Verdant’s Laoshan Black, which I find a bit more smooth.

Another sipdown! I’m doing fairly well with these, which is nice…but also makes me want more tea NAO! Still feels like this is YS’s laoshan black but maybe not.

this tea is what i imagine a cello would sound like if played in the woods amidst a forest dense with trees, a little light coming through from the sun. it’s lovely. light yet a hint smoky, sweet yet solid. i think i’m in love with this tea. i haven’t felt this much love for a tea since my darlings Irish Breakfast and Lapsang Souchong. mmmmmm. here’s the sound the tea evokes for me:
