As its name suggests this tea is an amazing combination of Rooibos, real bourbon vanilla pieces and natural vanilla flavour. Ok, so I go through a lot of this stuff. It’s my quick grab comfort tea, for two reasons: I can drink it at night, before bed and 2) it’s an easy pleaser (for me anyway)
I rarely drink it without additives though, and I realized that I love to load this one up with milk and rock sugar, or honey. I guess that’s part of the comfort part. Tonight I am feeling kinda blah, so I went for the full Monte and added milk, and a few chunks of rock sugar. Mmmm, yummy, soothing, happy time.

Vanilla. This is very vanilla. And I find that lovely. This is a great before bed comfort tea; the scent and taste is so gentle, with rooibos and that gorgeous vanilla, that I can’t help but feel like it’s okay to sleep before finishing Latin homework…
It didn’t have any cough syrup overly sweet disgusting aftertaste to it at all. The cold dregs at the bottom of my mug do taste slightly chemical, but that was not at all present earlier. I’m sad that this is just a sample now. I really need more good rooibos blends, even though I have an ungodly amount of unflavored red rooibos in my cabinet. It’s just a very comforting tea to me, something I crave before bed.

In other news, I’m thinking of actually counting my teas. Maybe I’ll save that for the weekend though…. Also, I’m writing a ruminative paper on tea. The paper is about something we Need in life, for any reason; the idea came from a scene in King Lear where Lear describes how badly he needs his company of 100 knights. I think that I can easily wax rhapsodic about tea. The ease of writing is especially important as I also have a Physics lab due and a report on Lesbia (of Catullus) for Latin. And then the ACT on Saturday. But then I’m babysitting, and that means money, and that means tea. So, it all comes back to tea. Basically.

Sounds pretty well rationalized to me! :)

This is a nice vanilla rooibos tea that is just slightly on the verge of having that liquor/cough medicine element. I have a strong preference for rooibos blends that are more like wood and less like cough syrup. Surprisingly, I can still drink this tea and enjoy the vanilla flavor without being entirely disappointed. If the rooibos base was a bit different, I think this tea would be great! It’s a personal preference, I suppose. Thank you to lizeepea for a sample!

A very simple tea, the classic tastes of vanilla and rooibos. I’ve also tried this as a latte and it was pretty good.

I really enjoyed this vanilla tea. In the tin, it’s got a great vanilla scent. Brewed, it’s got a great, light vanilla flavor complimented by the Rooibos tea. Definitely a favorite.

Yum! I was on a search for a very vanilla-y tea and this was a great choice. I appreciate this one for its flavour and that it is my only rooibos, caffeine free! It’s also a great tea to blend with other teas if you are feeling adventurous. (mixing with Teaopia’s Rise and Shine has a vanilla-coke type flavour for example.)
