Yellow tea from HuoShan in Anhui province is one of the most prestigious teas in China. It is one of the rarest types of teas with a history over 1000 years. It is made of carefully picked single bud and its adjacent diminutive leaves. Yellow tea is slightly fermented and high in antioxidants.
As the name indicates, both the dry tea leaves and the infusion are yellow in color. The color is acquired by adding the extra process step, called Yellowing. The yellowing process brings about some complex and subtle changes, softening the grassy and bitter taste that some green teas have, creating a mellow aromatic cup of yellow tea. The special yellowing process produced by Vivid Tea garden makes the tea to be tasted close to green tea but with its own unspoken characteristics.
