This blend, comprised of medium-bodied Ceylon tealeaves, is scented with the essential oils of natural fruits – passionfruit, pomegranate, and vanilla. These oils are added after the tealeaves have been fully oxidized and dried, complementing the distinctive taste of black tea with their characteristic flavours.
The key aspect for the blend is found in the proper vanilla natural oils, and in using lighter liquoring Ceylon black tea so as not to subsume the balance of the flavours. This also makes a great iced tea simple sugar syrup!
Our Ceylon black tea is made from tealeaves that have been fully oxidized, producing a hearty, deep, rich flavour in an amber-coloured liquor.
