From Pukka

Good news for refreshing the palate

Made with organic peppermint, spearmint and fieldmint

Three types of mint for a vibrant cool and supreme sweetness

Naturally caffeine free and ethically sourced, 100% organically grown ingredients

Cool just sailed in. Mighty mint, the refreshing hero of the palate. But just imagine three together – finely-chopped spearmint, field mint and peppermint – the cool suddenly becomes more vibrant. The sweetness more supreme. And the ‘you’ it leaves behind, as crisp and clean as the brightest day. Enjoy being yourself.

Every Pukka plastic-free tea bag comes in its own recyclable envelope to retain the essential oils in our organic herbs. Each bag has two chambers, allowing these incredible herbs to flow and release the full potency in your cup. To help the flavours to fully disperse, pour boiling water directly on the bag. Every herb loves the water, so leave them to steep for the perfect brew. And remember to boil just the amount of water you need to make your cuppa as environmentally-friendly as it can be.

Peppermint leaf (34%), spearmint leaf (34%) fieldmint leaf (32%).

This is my last bag of this tea.
Pukka uses mint in many of their teas, but this seems to be a “all mint” (and nothing else) tea. It’s fine, but I like “Refresh” better. The Refresh had the minty flavor, but also had a bitter flavor from liquorice.

The Three Mint Blend is interesting. You typically find peppermint or spearmint teas, or a mix of these two, but I’ve yet to find another tea that adds the field mint into the mix. The flavour of spearmint is particularly strong, but with this tea, it’s subdued enough by the other two mints to be an enjoyable tea. Perfect for a nice cold winter day.

I absolutely LOVE this tea! I’m not a huge fan of mint tea, but this one made me a believer! I could drink this tea every day it’s so lovely! Nice mint (obviously) flavor, but not overpowering in the least bit. I add a bit of honey to my cup, but it stands well on it’s own. Sometimes I prefer no added sweetness & it still tastes great!

Strange VariaTEA TTB: Tea 24

The box returned and it’s huge. I really wanted to have something from it but it’s late and I’m super tired after leaving the house before 6 am. Plus, I developed a subtle cough at work and now my throat is feeling slightly off which could just be because I’m tired. That said, when my throat feels like this, I don’t necessarily pick up on more nuanced flavours so this tea seemed like the right call. Mint tea. Warm and soothing and I know what to expect. It’s not overwhelming mint, but it’s clearly mint and it’s helping my throat.

Michelle

Sounds like the right tea at the right time, a soothing cuppa.

Delicious mint flavor. Highly recommend this one if you like a smooth subtle mint instead of an in your face mint. This came in a sipsby box and i will repurchase in the future.

I haven’t found a Pukka tea I like, but your note gives me hope. I have a few bags of this one in the cabinet I haven’t tried yet.

This is the only pukka tea i’ve tried. I’ve been contemplating getting a sampler to try more flavors because I liked this one so much… but several of my friends have said that most of their teas are just ok.

Steeps darker than any mint tea I’ve had. When it was still very hot, I thought the flavor muddled and muddy. As it cools, it’s a subtle blend of mints, fresh from the peppermint, some light spearmint (moreso in the aroma), a touch dried cut grass and quite mineral. I don’t know what field mint is so can’t comment on its contribution. Like the flavor clearing up as the tea cools, I notice some body coming out, especially as I swallow. Sweetness in the back of the mouth and throat develops over several minutes.

While it’s not something I’d seek out since I prefer pure peppermint teas, this was a nice change of pace for a bagged mint blend.

#tiffanys2021sipdown Tea #61 overall / Tea #28 for February

Thursday 2/18 — So Instacart got me again like they did late 2019 with promotion coupons (this time it’s three $20 off $35+ orders), I placed an order with Target that will come 2/19 morn and about to make one with Fresh Thyme (a grocery store) for 2/19 morn… in both orders I’m ordering small unnecessary items but mostly boxes of tea (which is a unusual since I 99% drink loose leaf tea). I need a little more to fulfill my Fresh Thyme order so it’s between Pukka’s Three Ginger or Three Mint tea.

So easy enough, I’ll just drink them both tonight as hot plain cuppas. I had 2 teabags handy of Three Mint. I enjoyed this one for what it is as well, a simple mint tea. Funny thing is after having both cuppas tonight I took both teas out of my cart in order to try some different kombucha flavors of bottled tea instead.

One of the few Pukka teas that is exactly what it says on the label. I’m trying to clear down some old tea before we head into 2021 and this is the last teabag from this box.

Texture is surprisingly thick. Looking back at my review from last year, I describe as almost syrupy. It’s not unpleasant though, just unusual.

The three types of mint gives it a little more depth than a single mint tea. The peppermint brings the menthol coolness, the spearmint adds some sweetness, and the field mint adds some body.

A great tea for when you’ve eaten too many mince pies…

I feel like lately my attitude towards bagged mint teas has been very “It’s mint, duh. You get what you get – they’re practically all the same” and I suppose that sort of rings true here? But I at least appreciate that because it’s a blend of different types of mint that’s it’s a step or two up from your typical bagged mint tea. I enjoyed it it; even if I wouldn’t personally buy it.

This one’s a blend of peppermint, spearmint, and fieldmint. I’ve not come across the latter before, so I’m kind of intrigued by that. It brews up a murky brown, like most bagged mint teas, and I have to admit that at this point I was unconvinced.

In terms of flavour, it’s more subtle than I expected – but then it’s not just peppermint. That tends to be the issue for me generally, because I find peppermint alone too dank and somehow grubby tasting. It’s just not my thing. This one is sweeter than straight peppermint, thanks obviously to the spearmint. I love spearmint! I was the child that always wanted the spearmint polos. The fieldmint is intriguing, too – it adds a mildly vegetal undertone that’s making me think of fresh cut grass, meadows, and summer.

I like this one. I’d happily drink it again, which isn’t something I say about a lot of mint teas!

I really enjoyed this one as well. Pukka has some nice mint blends. Especially for those not too fond of peppermint.
