From Puerh Junky

The thing that jumps out about the ’03 Marquis du Green Mark is its richness. This is owed to its spectacular storage, which is decidedly Kunming but probably like no Kunming storage you’ve tasted. This is from the same vendor as the Yiwu Princess, a slightly more humid and more floral offering.

Of course you are wondering, “Who is the Marquis du Green Mark?” The answer is the Puerh Junky’s phantasm of grandeur (some might argue grandiosity) for purposes of differentiating between the slew of Green Mark/7542s in the PJ stash.

Beyond the Marquis‘ luxurious thickness, it constitutes a great ensemble of floral and mineral along a backdrop of eau de hoot beer and sweetness. The floral notes sound a lively tone at the outset but as the drinking interlude progresses, slate mineral notes make themselves more present. The flower notes are not brash, the Marquis wears his threads in tasteful albeit bold manner.

There’s no waiting for the Marquis to make his mark (ahem). One must imagine the meticulous hand in storage, where it is pushed to the absolute edge of…. while not a hint of humidity can be detected. Only the effect can be discerned in an absurdly thick and sweet treasure that never bottoms out. Stored in Los Angeles since Oct ’19.
