I’m probably expecting too much from this tea to be robust and raspberry. It certainly is fruity and light, with a natural raspberry taste. Its quite an enjoyable cup worth three steeps. I’m just expecting a bit more from the base.
This one is going back in the cupboard until it hits 90 for the first time next summer when I’ll try a cold steep. Today is the first day of meteorological fall and I’m ready for cinnamon and ginger, not fruity summer light tea.

Mastress Alita’s Sipdown Challenge July Theme: A Berry Fruity July

Happy Fourth Americans!  Or hoping everyone had a lovely day today, no matter the country.  I HAD to order a full pouch of this during the sale… as it wasn’t one that was one on sale. It’s QUITE the raspberry tea!  So full of raspberry!  Actual bits of raspberry, which hey, no raspberry tea hardly ever includes.  And NO raspberry leaf, yuck.  Sick of raspberry leaf in raspberry teas.  The flavor just blooms in your mouth after sipping, earthy and rich.  The black tea is Nilgiri but I would have guessed Ceylon but it’s really quite a nice base for raspberry.  Plain, I probably would never steep up this black tea, but I can live with it with the raspberry. This is more than I expected, so I’m glad I bought it!
Steep #1 // 1 1/2 teaspoons for full mug //  21 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #2 // 4 minutes after boiling // 3 minute steep

LuckyMe

This sounds so good! Come to think of it, raspberry and black tea is a really nice flavor combination.
