From Kally Tea

The diversity of Assam knows no bounds. Many great estates produce equally amazing Assam. But in our taste testing we have discovered this finely balanced malty tasting delight. In our initial kick off of our website, this Assam stood out as what we wanted to offer as our inaugurate presentation in the Assam category. Once you taste this exceptional Assam, you too will agree!

Bumpity bump goes the rating again!!
For some reason, I was really craving this. I just knew I had to have a cuppa. Oh man was I ever right, it was so good! The light flowery contrast against the malty assam goodness is great! Only I wish I’d made a whole pot! (which I didn’t do because I’m headed out shortly)
Very glad I have this in my cupboard now :)

And Kelly teas has super customer service!

Will definitely order from them again one day.
Though it’s driving me nuts about the mystery tea. Nothing on their website matches up!!

i tried to ask/find out but they never answered. I think it’s just a totally different tea lol

bahumbug! I want to know… the pisces in me is going nuts!

I was hoping for something wow-ing this morning in this assam and it failed to deliver. it’s not a bad cup of tea but it’s lacking the strength that i like in a good assam as well as that bold flavour that keeps on delivering. I’ll likely finish off the rest of this and possibly share it with a few others so they can cross it off their black tea list, but it’s not a GREAT! cup of assam…and i don’t need to keep less tan great assams around :)

Bold flavour but dilute-tasting; this may be because it was sitting around in a sample baggie for a while. I like the profile of this tea. I can taste faint notes of everything that I love in my favourite blacks; the leathery notes, hint of sweetness, straw-like notes, smooth mouth-feel.

Thanks to Indigobloom and Sil for sharing!

Ehhhh just taste wood. Not a huge fan :S

Hahaha… this made me laugh :)

Glad my sadness brings you joy. Join the club haha! :P

Hahaha ;) If it makes you feel any better I had two teas (samples from Adagio Teas) tonight and didn’t like either… and now its late and I really can’t have more caffeine. That’s frustrating – lol. At least we can share in our misery :)

Haha-sounds good to me! :P I’m down with sharing misery with someone else. That’s a new one!

Oh! That is depressing! I had to forgo it tonight too thinking that’s why I was up at 5am.
