From Harney & Sons

Start clapping now for our new Peter Pan & Wendy blend, inspired by the Disney+ Original movie “Peter Pan & Wendy” now streaming only on Disney+. This live-action reimagining of the J.M. Barrie novel and the 1953 animated classic directed by David Lowery and starring Jude Law as Captain Hook, Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, Ever Anderson as Wendy Darling and Jim Gaffigan as Mr. Smee.

We started this blend with a London-inspired London Fog base of black tea, oolong tea, bergamot oil, lavender and vanilla flavor. Then for a touch of Never Land we added coconut flavor. Did we add pixie dust? You’ll have to be the judge!

Enjoy a wonderful adventure in a cup with our Disney’s Peter Pan & Wendy blend and think happy thoughts, always!

Ingredients: Black tea, oolong tea, bergamot oil, vanilla flavor, natural coconut flavors.

Three of my coworkers were in New York for a few days last week and while they were there they stopped at the Harney & Sons store, and were nice enough to bring some teas back for me. I have to say, though, that I hate how Harney only releases these fun blends in sachets and not as loose leaf…

Anyway, the dry leaf aroma of this from the tin was insanely good. Yes, bergamot heavy but also really creamy coconut custard type of notes! It was fine steeped but the bergamot was so intense that it kind of gave me a headache by the end of the mug. It was just so perfumey and punchy. The coconut was nice – best part of the blend, IMO. I just found it really challenging to taste it underneath all the blerg.

Oooh the Soho or Millerton store? I go to Millerton a ton!

I believe it was the Soho location?

Also, I think that they release the limited flavors and such as bags because they’re smaller portions than their 3 to 4-oz looseleaf tins. They attract tea newbies and are more accessible in the comforting sense of “everyone knows how to use a tea bag”
